About the Journal
The Journal of Accounting, Business, Governance and Sustainability (ABGS) is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing high-quality scholarship at the intersection of accounting, business, governance, and sustainability. The journal provides a scholarly platform for research that deepens understanding of how organizations design, implement, monitor, and evaluate responsible decision-making, accountability mechanisms, governance systems, and sustainable business practices.
ABGS welcomes research that examines the internal and external structures, systems, practices, and institutional conditions that shape organizational behavior, transparency, performance, accountability, stakeholder engagement, and long-term value creation. The journal gives particular attention to accounting as a mechanism of governance, control, reporting, and accountability; corporate governance as a framework for responsible oversight and strategic direction; and sustainability as an embedded organizational practice rather than a symbolic disclosure exercise.
The journal publishes theoretical, empirical, conceptual, methodological, policy-oriented, and practice-based research. Submissions are expected to demonstrate analytical rigor, methodological transparency, theoretical relevance, and meaningful implications for academic scholarship, policy development, regulatory practice, professional standards, organizational improvement, and wider society.
ABGS seeks to bridge theory and practice by publishing research that contributes to contemporary debates on responsible governance, ESG practices, sustainability reporting, ethical leadership, institutional accountability, business resilience, and sustainable development.
The Journal of Accounting, Business, Governance and Sustainability (ABGS) publishes two issues per year.
